Best Cafes in Reading for Free Wi-Fi – CityBlock

If you’re a student in Reading, something you’ve probably wondered about your new city – aside from where the best place is to get a kebab after a night out – is which cafés have free Wi-Fi. Studying in cafés is a great way to get those creative juices flowing. Libraries can be too quiet, and your student accommodation in Reading possibly too distracting with your housemates around. Cafés are the perfect neutral ground where you can work in a low-noise environment and enjoy a tasty beverage and snack while you do so.

Coffee

So, here are some of the best cafés in Reading that have Wi-Fi available:

Cafe Yolk

Do you like your eggs fried or scrambled? Poached or hard-boiled? Well, at Café Yolk you can have your eggs any way you’d like! On muffins, in brunch, on potatoes, in a sandwich, in a taco, as an omelette and so much more. And if eggs aren’t your thing, this café also has a wide selection of delicious pancakes, French toast or waffles – every meal under the sun you can think of to start your day off right.

While you’re there, don’t forget to wash your meal down with a coffee, smoothie or a milkshake. You can find Café York on Erleigh Road, just a stone’s throw away from the University. And perhaps best of all, there is Wi-Fi available for customers so you can knuckle down and get some work done while tucking into one of the many incredible breakfast, brunch and lunch meals they have available.

Caffeine and Cocktails is a cocktail bar on Kings Walk, right next to the Oracle’s Riverside Arena. With great coffee and fresh pastries to start the day off right, as the day progresses, the venue transforms from a daytime brunch hangout into the ultimate cocktail destination.

With a diverse range of cocktails like you’ve never seen before, Caffeine and Cocktails is sure to suit everyone from the avid worker looking for a caffeine boost to the club goer looking for some early evening drinks to start the night. And with Wi-Fi at the venue, you can connect right there while you enjoy your espresso martini.

However, if you need peace and quiet in order to work, you might want to give this one a miss, because once the evening hits, this place becomes a vibrant, busy bar with a happy hour from 16:00 until 19:00 every day.
